I'm making a change. And none too soon. I just accepted a job in the ER at Timpanogos Regional Hospital. I'm excited and nervous. I have always wanted to work in the ER. I did my internship in the ER and loved it. I remember when I was at Ricks college I volunteered in the ER. I had no idea what I wanted to do as a major back then. I just volunteered because I thought it was sooo cool. You would think that maybe I would have recognized this as a hint of what I might want to do for a career, but NO, not me, I never gave it a second thought.
About the 'none too soon' comment. I have worked at my current job for 18months now. In that 18months I have had 4 different managers and I am one of the oldest nurses here (in terms of starting date). Now that's what I call HIGH TURNOVER, wow. They were understaffed all summer long when we had very few kids here. I hope they get it together before Swine Flu and RSV season. But frankly, I really don't want to be around to find out.
Soooooooo, I have one full night shift left and then it's good bye to my 5am-bored-silly posts. No more night shifts and no more boredom, I'm guessing. :)

congrats! That is awesome.
Hurrayyyyy! I think that means we'll get to see more of you and your family at family get togethers too right?
Anyways ,Congrats! It's so much easier to go to work if you love what you do, and it sounds like this could be true for you (in the ER)!
Oh how cool that your playlist is playing How to Save a Life. Almost gives ya chills, don't it?
YAY for finding your grail and for conquering boredom. But boo for no more posts.
yea, i'm excited for you. I hope you love it, I'm sure you will. I'm glad all my complaining about my love/hate relationship with my ER didn't effect you. Is it days/nights? part-time? You know I'm curious.
Thanks everybody. I'm super excited. It will be part time days and swings. So two days a week.
